This poster represents a painting by Italian artist Sandro Botticelli, probably executed in the mid 1480s. It depicts the goddess Venus Anadyomene arriving at the shore after her birth, when she had emerged from the sea fully-grown. The painting was last purchased by the Italian government for 500 million US and is on display at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.
